The upgrade to Generation 5 from the previous model means a new groove with improved precision on the barrel, equilateral mantle notch fits both right and left shooters as well as a magazine tray that provides safer magazine changes in stressful situations. Glock has also removed the finger grooves on the piston, which provides the opportunity for better grip even for those with large and small hands. New finish on pipe and mantle better protects against rust and scratches.
New magazines with orange cartridge driver and larger magazine bottom for faster magazine change. FS means Front Serrations and means that the front sides of the mantle have milled grooves so that it is easier to get a grip to make mantle movement.
